Yesterday we was lucky enough to have a visit from a fire engine. The fire crew showed us how to use the hose and let us sit in the truck. It was so exciting!

Today we celebrated World Ocean Day. We learnt about the problem with plastics in the sea and what we can do to help the sea creatures. We shared the story “The Undersea Cleaning Spree” and considered why the sea creatures were sad.

Well done to Oscar for being our Pride of Plover today. Oscar has been working and has been coaching other children especially in maths. He has been using his fantastic ideas in small world play. He has been kind and his listening has improved.

After editing and improving their excellent information texts, the children worked on their reading and spelling skills by accessing classroom resources quietly. A great example of using initiative and leading your own learning – lovely to see!
We had a fantastic family learning session this morning. Thank you to all the adults who attended. The children were very creative making lots of creatures for under the sea.

Kason, Rafia and Seb have been working together to order numbers to 20. Oh the fun I had swapping them around and turning digits upside down to challenge them to correct my silliness! Well done folks. You did great!
