Gravel please

For the EYFS outdoor area we need gravel and small stones to create a vehicle area where the children can use toy vehicles and create roads.

If you have or know anyone who has a large amount of gravel that they would donate to us it would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

F2 Pride of Plover

Well done to Max and Georgia for earning our badges this week. Max has been working really hard and getting smart, especially in phonics. He has been kind helping his friends too. Georgia has been a good helper especially when children have struggled with their learning. She has been kind to grown-ups too. Mrs Reeve said that Georgia has been working hard in phonics. You are both superstars.

Becoming independent

This week we have been focussing on using cutlery. It was lovely to see children cutting up their own dinner today.

Pride Of Plover

Our Pride Of Plover this week has gone to Minadi and Skyla. Both girls are always eager to learn, show an excellent attitude to learning and are kind/caring members of our crew. Minadi has settled beautifully into our school routines as an early starter. They are both a pleasure to have in our crew. Keep working hard superstars.

The Best Part Of The Seaside

In maths today we looked at bar charts. We discussed what our favourite things to do at the seaside were to create the graph, then voted for the one we enjoy the most. As a class, eating ice cream is our favourite thing to do when visiting the seaside, and the arcades/funfair were our least favourite.

Hook Week

This week we have followed a map, to go on a treasure hunt. We found a treasure chest filled with seaside objects! Before opening the box we made predications about what might be inside, then after looking at the items, we decided maybe our new expedition was going to be about the beach.

We then learnt that we live in Intake, Doncaster, and compared some pictures of Intake, to pictures of the seaside.

Time to pack!

Lucy and Tom (from our book) forgot to pack so they sent us a postcard to ask us to pack their bag for them. We read it and placed all the things we needed in the bag. This week, we are going to write our own lists for packing our seaside bag.

Making sandwiches

We have been sharing the book Lucy and Tom at the seaside. Lucy and Tom packed sandwiches to take with them on their journey so the children did the same. They used their fine motor skills to spread the margarine and the jam.
