Today we looked at our baby photos and talked about how we had grown and changed. These are some of the things that we said.
If you haven’t shared a photo of your child as a baby in F2P please do so asap.

Last week, 6T produced some fantastic work during their hook week. We studied physics, in particular the study of light and how it travels. The children discovered how light travels in straight lines, writing some fantastic scientific reports, how shadows are formed, how reflection works and how the eye sees. They have made a fantastic start to their work in their new books! Well done and keep it up, 6T! #LovePlover

The children in Mr longley’s reading group this week started reading a new text linked to the expedition, Ready, Steady, Grow: How can I be the healthiest version of me?
The text is called The Great Food Bank Heist by the amazing author Onjali Q. Rauf.

Chapter 1 is below if you would like to read the first chapter.
Some questions you might want to ask:
As part of our expedition we have measured ourselves today to see how tall we are. We will measure ourselves at the end of the expedition to see if we have grown.
The school nurse was also in school today and she measured the heights and weights of the children. This fitted really well into our learning.

Today in Y2 we had a go at stop animation to show how flowers are pollinated by bees.
I know I’m biased, but I think our first attempt is awesome! What do you think?

One of the things we said we needed to get better as a crew was working together so today we played some games where everyone had to work together. Fantastic team work F2P!

Year three have learnt lots about food chains this morning – they have been thinking about producers, predators and prey. They noticed that producers regrow in the correct environments; wolves are awesome at hunting deer; deer eat grass; humans consume both meat and plants; and that fire can consume everything! They identified some great notices, praises and wonders about the game we played which helped us to learn this information.

Leading our own learning with Miss Telford’s support has been both educational and fun this morning! We have used ’Switched on Kids’ to do this. We have been able to extend our understanding of how electricity travels to our houses; know how to be electrically safe; and identified some methods of sustainable living.
Well done 3H you have worked brilliantly for Miss Telford this morning…I am so proud of you all.

Thank you to one of our wonderful 4F students for making a class recycling box for us to use.
