Pretend planting
The potting shed was the most popular choice in outdoor play today. The children pretended to grow carrots and apples and talked about what the seeds would need to grow.

Year 6 Newspapers
I am so proud of Year 6 this morning, as they work hard preparing for their final write. They are planning out the structure of their newspaper report, which will be a report of Martin Luther King’s March on Washington. #LovePlover

The dentist came to school
We were very fortunate to have a visit of the dentist this morning. We learnt the parts of our teeth and how to look after them. We now know what happens when we go to the dentist.
Thank you to the dental team for coming to visit us and helping us with our expedition.

Our product – growing bulbs as a lasting legacy
We planted bulbs as our product to share our learning with our families and our community. Some of our bulbs grew quicker than we thought so we took our bulbs home today.
The children designed their sticks and plant pot covers. There is a QR code linking to the website of our expedition.
Next week we will begin sharing our bulbs with our local community to brighten their day.

Pretending to be at the seaside
The children invited me into their play this afternoon as they pretended to go to the seaside. We had fish and chips, an ice-cream with a flake and a swim in the sea. Lots of fun!

Regan has been working really hard in class recently.

Where is the elf?
At outdoor time this morning some of the children were pretending to be magic elves. They thought of names for their elves and what powers they were going to have. They needed hats so this afternoon along with other children, they made elf hats. These were then taken outside to develop the story telling. We had elves who would cuddle, elves who could jump, elves who could make you invisible etc. What kind of elf would you be?
