Today we have been artists! Our class have been using rulers to create perspective artwork, as well as using different shading techniques to create texture and tone. Some techniques include: scumbling, crosshatching and smudging.

4F enjoyed the halloween disco on Friday. We celebrated with lots of dancing, drawing, refreshments and sweets.

4F have worked really hard this week in maths. They have enjoyed working on timetables through magic maths, and are beginning to add four digit numbers together using exchanges.
Well done to all of our Pride of Plover winners this week. We are very proud of you all!

Y6 had a great time today, experimenting how air resistance worked! The class were so sensible and wrote up their experiment like proper scientists. Well done, 6T! #LovePlover

Well done to Ellie-May who was a good friend at dinner time and shared the hoops. She played the games and was thoughtful and kind. You are a superstar Ellie-May, such a good example to our crew.

We wish you a lovely break with family and friends and look forward to seeing you all back in school on Monday 31st October.
Well done to all of our children this half term. We have seen some beautiful work and home learning produced by children across school. Thank you to all of our visitors who have supported our learning expeditions by sharing their knowledge and in some cases personal experiences which help bring our learning to life!
Below are just a few examples of the beautiful work produced by our children this half term. Amongst the photos you will spot Mrs Shaw who leaves us for a short while to go on maternity leave. We wish her well and look forward to sharing happy news in a few weeks time.
Enjoy the break and stay safe

Today, Y3 and 4 met Sam the solider. He is part of the British army reserves and came into school to talk about his experience of the army. Sam told us what it takes to be a solider and how he became part of the British army reserves. The children asked lots of questions and then went on to train with Sam outside.
6T had a great time experimenting with the force of gravity on different objects. After much testing, as well as a helping hand from Miss Topliss, they discovered that no matter the weight of the objects, gravity would bring them back down to the ground at the same time. We had some surprised children, as a lot of predictions were proved to be incorrect! #LovePlover
