Dot to dot

Today seems to have been a maths day with lots of you enjoying the maths activities for adding on, particularly the dot to dot activity.

Can you use your number line or a 100 square and see what happens when you count in 2’s, 5’s and 10’s? Do you land on any of the same numbers? If you do, why do you think that is?

We missed you!

F2S had another very quiet hangout today. Thanks for joining Conor and Harry. It was lovely to chat to you both. Our hangouts are every Monday at 10am. If anyone else would like to join but is having difficulty please email me at [email protected]. I hope we can all catch up next week!

Pirate ship

Vivan has been very busy making a pirate ship. He tried to cut it out and join it together by himself. He did all the painting on his own. Well done Vivan.

First Aid

This week’s learning is focused on Princess Pearl and how she helps Zog. There is the Fast Act Challenge to complete. This is for children to learn about first aid and can be completed as a family.

There are a couple of differences to what we would normally teach for first aid. In this training A covers assess for danger, alert response, airway (as part of ABC). We would normally have covered DR ABC – d for danger, r for response and then a for airway. The important thing is that children are aware of what the dangers could be, know how to check if the casualty is able to respond and then how to check if they are breathing.

This is the link to this week’s learning.

Don’t forget to meet us on Goggle hangouts at 10 am.

Lots to share

What a fantastic week F2.  Your first week learning about dragons has been fantastic, from model making to writing. Those children in school have shown excellent behaviour and I am really impressed with your learning too.

You have created dragons in play dough and box modelling and some of them were breathing fire.

You have created castles for Princess Pearl.

Lots of you have been learning about plants in your garden and you continue to send in photos of how your plants are growing.

Next week we continue to learn about Zog as well as learning first aid.

Have a lovely weekend

PS Ellis also has the book “This is not a fairy tale”. I wonder who else has it?
