Well done to our Y5 children, who competed in a Y5/6 dodgeball competition at Armthorpe Academy yesterday afternoon. #LovePlover
Doncaster City are going up! Mr Meade and his team won their league on the weekend and it was great to see Plover children showing their support and joining in on the celebrations! #LovePlover
In Crew this week, Years 3 and 4 have been thinking about the health of their bodies as well as their mental health too. They have discovered that exercise is not only good for bodies, but that it also activates and cleanses minds; making people feel happier from the serotonin and endorphins that are released during the time that they exercise! Aerobic exercises like running, cycling and swimming are particularly effective. Exercise boosts the brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) which supports the production and release of serotonin as well as overall brain health! Because of this, Crew Haycock and 3H have pledged to carry out some physical exercise (in addition to their PE lessons in school) for ten minutes a day.
Go Crew Haycock – youāve got this and so have I. I pledge to do this additional exercise with you!

We’ve had an ‘egg’cellent week in F2 this week. Lots of learning about Easte, making and playing Easter activities!
Congratulations to our 10 year 4 dodgeball superstars, who just missed out on the trophy in the Dodgeball competition at Armthorpe Academy! They came 2nd out of 8 schools and won silver medals! #LovePlover
As part of our hook week into ‘At the Coalface’, Year 5 today came to school dressed as coal miners. We participated in some immersive P.E. which encouraged us to imagine the life of children – many of whom were our age – expressing their feelings, emotions and actions through the medium of dance.
In Crew Meade today we have all had a wonderful day and have all been brilliant! We played ‘Easter’ ball games in PE. Then we started our Easter cards. Finally, we learnt about why we celebrate Easter and the Easter story – celebrating the beginning of new life! #LovePlover
Yesterday in soft play we worked on balancing and moving in different ways again. We are getting so clever at using our gross motor skills and had so much fun!

Well done to the children in Crew Meade and Miss Trindall for being a regular active traveller. Keep walking, cycling, scootering and doing exercise to come to school. #LovePlover
