What is in the surprise box?

We opened up the box to find out what was inside. There were lots of objects and the children decided that they were for a birthday party. We shared the story “Cake” to hook us into the rest of hook week and painted and collaged the cake for our display. We talked about the different textures.

Maths in F2BP

We were helping Rat to find out ‘how many’ today. Sometimes, we could subitise and others we needed to do careful touch counting. In Provision, we played games with the dice to subitise and helped Rat learn how to subitise too- say how many you can see.

Animal Antics in PE

We had so much fun in PE, moving like different animals. We made a small sequence by putting 2 different movements together. Mason got our sports superstar sticker for being so good at this part. We ended with a game of ‘Zoo Escape’. Mrs Bubb and some helpers were the zoo keepers who had to catch the animals trying to escape. It was so exciting!

Super Settling in Week F2M

We are so proud of all the children in F2 this week. They have settled so well – exploring their outdoor and indoor provisions, playing calmly and compassionately with their new friends and having lots of fun! #LovePlover

TGB Crew

Crew Meade’s agreed class norms! In crew we did some active learning to discuss acceptable good behaviours we want to see everyday in school and unacceptable behaviours that are not to happen. Then we created our class norms how we can achieve being the best version of ourselves! #LovePlover

Working Hard in Phonics

F2M have all worked so hard in phonics this week. Learning their first 5 set 1 sounds, playing Fred games, developing fine motor skills and letter formation! #LovePlover

Maths is Fun in F2

Well done to these children working hard on counting, subitising, noticing more and fewer and making repeated patterns. #LovePlover

Colour mixing

We were learning the painting routine in F2 today. In F2BP we used the colours that we had mixed to paint “t”, the letter of the day.

Which way to go

We have been practicing directional language and have been using the road signs in the vehicle area to help us. The children have been using forwards, backwards, turn, up, down and across. We need to practice left and right.
