We introduced our first Plover character trait today at our Crew party – courage! We showed great courage to join in our party games and do forefeits infront of our friends. We played musical statues, pass the parcel, musical bumps, had party food and finished with the balloon game! #LovePlover

Making sandwiches ready for the party
Tomorrow is our party. We are going to be learning about courage as we play different games. Today we made sandwiches using our fine motor skills. All the children were able to spread the margarine and jam really well. They are looking forward to eating them tomorrow.

Balancing a beanbag
In outdoor time today we practiced our motor skills and balancing skills by using beanbags. The children balanced the beanbag on their head, hand and then another part of their body. Balancing on shoes was tricky!

Making Jam Sandwiches
This afternoon we enjoyed making some jam sandwiches ready for our crew party! First we washed out hands, then spread the butter, next week spread the jam, finally we cut the slice of bread in half to make a sandwich. #LovePlover
Counting Sticks
In maths today we learnt to count large objects that we cannot move. So counting bear helped us by showing us to use a counting stick to point. The children counted 7 trees, 4 flower beds, 1 shed, 12 tyres. #LovePlover
Balancing Bean Bags
Well done to our children who showed great control and balancing to keep their bean bags on their heads, whilst moving in different directions. #LovePlover
Cake Collage
We created a cute CAKE collage just like the story ‘Cake’ we have been reading during hook week for our expedition – Marvellous Me! #LovePlover

Party Paper Chains
We used our fine motor skills to make some paper chains and used our colours to make them repeating patterns – well done F2M. #LovePlover
CAKE
In our Expedition learning, we have been reading a book, called, ‘CAKE’. We worked together to paint and collage Cake. We used our finger muscles to pinch the glitter and sprinkle it onto the glue. We are so pleased with our collaboration! It looks great on our Expedition display!
We Care and say ‘ Thank you’
In Crew, today, we talked about the things our families do for us. We are getting so good at taking turns to talk and remembering to look at the person talking in our circle. We then made our families a card to thank them for taking care of us. We showed craftsmanship and quality by using our name cards to copy our names and holding our pencils properly by ‘pinching it and putting it to bed’. Mrs Bubb and Mrs Price are so impressed!
