Creating a flower

We created flowers in different ways this morning, remembering the parts of the plant.

Some children created with blocks, some painting and some drawing.

Have a look at our creations.

It starts with a seed

We listened to the story ‘it starts with a seed’. Children asked questions and wrote predictions about what might happen to our broad bean seed. Then we started our experiment, by putting damp paper towels into a plastic bottle and sliding 5 broad beans down the side. We will leave it in the sunlight, to keep it warm and water it daily… To see how things grow! #LovePlover

Rock n Roll!

PE was rocking today! We used good listening to know what to do! We learned a pencil roll, an egg roll and even a forward roll! Mrs Bubb showed us how to do them all! (Even the forward roll!) By the end of the lesson we could start at the end of the mat with a balance, roll and then finish in our finishing position. We love PE!

Making 7

Today, we were making 7. We looked at different ways we could build 7 with 2 colours. Then we looked at how many of each colour we had. By the end of the lesson we could say different numbers that go together to make 7. We made the numbers with our fingers for some of them too! Tomorrow we will see how it looks in a part part whole model.

Brushing Teeth Experiment

Over the weekend the children were given a dental disclosing tablet – a fun and important experiment for children to understand and see the important of brushing and keeping all their teeth clean! What a cool toothbrush Ada has, it flashes red for 2 minutes so she knows that she has been brushing for the correct amount of time. Check out some of our gleaming smiles!

F2BP Pride of Plover

Cohen was our Pride of Plover today. Cohen has impressed adults with his hard work and how kind he has been to his friends, especially in phonics. He has been using his voice really well to share his learning, ideas and concerns.

Well done Cohen. We are very proud of you.

Healthy Home Learning

It was lovely to welcome some of our grown ups in this morning as part of our expedition learning ā€˜See How Things Grows’. Thank you children and grown ups for working hard, getting smart and being kind. We made healthy fruit kebabs, played fruit matching games, paints our favourite fruits, created a fruit bowl collage and made some cool fruit masks! #LovePlover
