F2’s first PE session

Mr Meade and Mrs Bubb had a great PE session today. We used our heads, hands and hearts. We used our hand to move in different ways. We used our heads to think of different movements and our heart to be kind when playing with our friends. our superstars today were River for explaining the rules so everyone knew how to play and Abbie for being kind and making sure she looked out for people who needed setting free in our ‘ bear stuck in the mud’ game.

‘mmm’ lunch time

Today’s sound we learnt was /m/ then the children used “Maisie mountain mountain” to help them write the letter m in their phonics books. They did a m-i-n-t mint job!

Then we enjoyed a mmmarvellous dinner and most children devoured their pizza, pasta or potatoes. #LoverPlover

Marvellous Maths in F2M

The children have blown me away with their counting and subitising skills this morning in maths. We did an active starter, followed by counting how many friends we have in our crew today. Then played the subitise game to quickly say how many cubes or dots Mr Meade showed.
Shout out to Koby and Leo work working hard on their count. #LovePlover

Working hard and being kind

Isaac was very kind outside today and showed that he could share really well. Charlotte has been working very hard and showed that she had remembered letter sounds. Well done to both of you.

Be Kind: How do we show we care?

In F2BP, we have been learning eachother’s names. We talked about feeling special when people know our names. We are going to be kind to our new friends by remembering their names to show we care. The photos show a game we played where we rolled the ball to a friend so they could say their name. After a few rounds, we rolled it to someone and said their name first. By the end, we remembered lots more names.
