Being kind

We have been thinking today about how we show kindness to the world around us and the people in it. The children drew pictures of how they show they are kind and then we went outside to help Miss Trindall pick up the rubbish. She said the children were very kind to help her.

Where in the world?

Today we have been geographers, learning about different places in the world where the bears live. The children chose their favourite bear and drew it. They then matched it to the countries that the bears are from. Some children made bear masks to match.

Where do real bears live?

Today we have been learning facts about bears. We have learnt that some bears live in different places and some bears choose one place to live. The children sorted the pictures and talked to their friends about why they had chosen the habitat. They noticed that the polar bear was missing. Using their sticky knowledge, they could say that polar bears like to live where it is icy and snowy. A shout out goes to Riley who could share lots of facts about bears.

Working Hard in Phonics

Well done to Mustafa and Tommy who have been working so hard to recognise and say more sounds. Well done to Alicja for beautiful writing and letters in phonics. #LovePlover

Super writers

During provision this afternoon some children chose to write about a bear. I was very impressed with their writing and how they used Fred fingers.

Learning about bears

Today we learnt facts about bears. We have been learning the names for different bears too. Some children chose to make stick puppets of bears and share the facts. Did you know that black bears can run as fast as 35 mph, as fast as a car!
