Today we were getting better at comparing weather in the UK. We had a great time being weather reporters! (More to come on youtube)
Today in crew we were thinking about climate emergency and what that means. The children worked together to decide which things were caring things for our planet and which things were uncaring. The children then made pledges of what they are going to do over the coming week to help make our world a better place.

Last week, 4F enjoyed learning how to locate mountain and mountain ranges in an atlas.
This week 3B have been learning about the Earthās composition and and how mountains are formed. We have also been using atlases to loacte different mountains and record their height and continent. Well done class for another fab week!

Well done to F2W who successfully followed their map and clues to navigate their way around Intake this afternoon! We enjoyed counting how many shops/blocks of flats we could see on the way and looking at house numbers.
I was so proud of how smartly you all walked all the way round.

In expedition this morning we looked at different maps. We looked at Intake and added the places that we know onto it ready for our learning on Thursday. The children were really excited about maps and created different ones in provision including lots of pirate maps.

The classroom was a little bit upside down when we arrived in school today, because of the weird weather events last week. Fortunately, we worked well as a crew and got it all put back quickly, ready to start our SURVIVAL day!
We took part in different activities:
The day was great and there were lots of tired but happy children at the end of it, all excited to find out where our new expedition: “Earth Shattering Events; what happens when nature strikes?” will take us!
