Showing compassion
Some of the children worked together to build a castle today. They listened to each others ideas and worked together to move equipment. They were an excellent example of compassion.

Doncaster and Bassetlaw artwork competition winner!
All of our Year 5 & 6 pupils entered a recent competition help by Doncaster and Bassetlaw hospital. Our children created artwork and we choose the theme of ‘compassion’ one of our character traits. It is amazing to see that all of the children who entered, have their artwork displayed at the hospital. Lena was selected as the overall winner and here you can see she proudly showing off her beautiful work.
We would love you to go and visit the beautiful display and share any photos you take of your beautiful art work!
So proud of all of our 5/6 crew and of course, our lovely Lena!

Sandall Park choir- Sunday 7th December at 9:45 am
Friends of Sandall Park will be putting up a double gazebo up in the main picnic area- KFC /cafe side. This is where Plover will meet at 9:45am. Children are encouraged to wear a Christmas jumper and/ or a Santa’s hat if they have one, please do not worry if they do not. We will begin our songs at 10am. I will register the children before we start but please note they are your responsibility throughout the event and cannot be left. After our slot, children are free, along with their parents and carers, to enjoy the event.
The children were amazing at yesterday’s rehearsal and I am really looking forward to their performance at what is set to be an amazing community event!
Thank you to all parents and carers for supporting us!

Pride of Plover!
Well done to all of the KS1 Pride of Plover winners this week. We heard stories of tremendous personal growth, resilience and hard work. It makes us all so proud to hear how people can overcome personal challenges to make improvements in their learning and to grow into more independent learners. A big well done to all of our winners!

Maths stars!
We have been working hard using manipulatives to understand how to add and subtract two 2-digit numbers from each other. We used lots of practice to make the numbers and to see the process of exchanging happening. We began to use more formal methods of organising our work. We have made great progress!
