Today we looked at shapes in a house. We noticed a square and triangle. Using lolly pop sticks we made our houses. 4 sticks to make the square and 3 sticks to make the triangle for a roof. #LovePlover
We have been blown away by the amount of revision and home learning that has already been completed by our Year 6’s so we have decided to run a halloween competition. Everyone who completes revision and home learning will be given a ticket into our prize draw (this already includes all the homework that has already been completed). We will pick a winner On November 3rd (the first day back after half-term).
Keep working hard and getting smart Y6 and you could be the winner of this super cute ‘Boo basket!’

Year 5 & 6 were so fortunate to have a demonstration by one of the members of the Dyja band who came to play the saxophone for them. They are so lucky that this lovely gentlemen is offering FOUR free places to learn this instrument during their time at Plover with the possibility of extending this opportunity beyond their primary school years.
To play such a beautiful instrument would require a lot of dedication so we are asking that children really think about this amazing opportunity and if they are interested, hand their signed letters back to their class teacher on Monday.
How amazing would it be to learn such an amazing new skill!

We would love for as many children as possible to join us eating this tasty themed day menu provided by Relish!
This week we have been learning about compassion. We have learnt that we are all different and we can all do different things. To celebrate we had a ‘this is me’ paint party which started with us dancing to the song This Is Me, from The Greatest Showman, before doing our colour run. Keep your eyes peeled for a video over the coming weeks.

These two superstars have demonstrated fantastic craftsmanship and quality in their home learning this week. I am so very proud of them both. 10 crew coins each for ‘getting smart’. Please keep it up!

Thank you to everyone who supported our Macmillan bake sale. We are so grateful for all of the donations and to all those who bought cakes at the end of the day.
The remaining buns will be on sale again tomorrow outside of 5L and we will then share the grand total we have raised.
Thank you again for all of your continued support!
