6B were superstars as always yesterday. Our final write for our English cycle will be a non-chronological report. We kick started the cycle looking at a model and identifying what features are included in a non-chronological report to help us when writing our own.

It was so lovely this morning. We had a F2 Crew Competition. The challenge was to fill our own bucket of water, using a small container to transfer the water from the the water tray. We encouraged our crew members to speed up, slow down and keep going. It was so close! For a final challenge, we had to carry our full container all the way back to the water tray, using helpful hands and working together. Mr Meadeās crew were awesome at this! We were all so impressed by how the children supported each other! #love plover
Shout out to Farhan and Ada who worked smartly to build a tall tower which was 5 blocks tall. Well done to Tommy, Liarna and Faye who were able to make 5 for the bears play dough. #LovePlover
Our F1 and F2 children sat so smartly in a whole school assembly today. We welcomed visitors from Open the Book, who told us a special story all about the celebration of Harvest Festival. #LovePlover
Well done to our September badge winners for being active travelling to school in September. Children are welcome to come to school on bikes, scooters or roller skates. Please remember to be safe and to walk with bikes and scooters on the playground. Even if you walk to school you are still being active! By parking cars away from the school gates and walking a distance to school you will be parking and striding. Remember to log your active journeys each morning at school. Keep being active!
Well done to Jacoby in F2BP for starting to blend in phonics, you little superstar. Well done to Laura in F2M, for being the sweetest little girl and for knowing all her phonics sounds that we have learnt so far. #LovePlover
Congratulations to the first Pride of Plover winners in KS1 this year. You have shown us that you work hard, get smart and be kind! Thank you also to the grown-ups who were able to join us for this morning’s celebration.

2P continued our work investigating the properties and suitability of materials. We have been challenged to save Humpty Dumpty so he won’t crack when falling from the wall. We created our own designs using our scientific knowledge and then did a gallery walk to spot the strengths of other people’s designs. We then worked collaboratively to make some of our designs come to life. We must now conduct a fair test to see if they will work!
