2P explored where lots of our food comes from through our ‘Farm in a box’. We looked at a wheat farmer and how they grow our wheat. After, we saw the journey our wheat makes to become flour and eventually our food. We looked at wheat plants and grain and even crushed some to see the flour inside! Our favourite part was matching animal poo to the correct animal because farmers see this as ‘black gold’.
Some amazing team players from years 5 and 6 attended a basketball tournament for eight Doncaster primary schools.
We made it to the semi-finals through some careful passing and defence, building on the feedback from coach and team-mates on the bench. It was amazing to see how your game improved as you took onboard the suggestions from our team talks. Furthermore, you represented the school and our HoWLs marvellously and it was a pleasure to take you to the event. We are so proud of you!

Thank you to Alice for taking us on a pirate adventure this afternoon. She helped us learn about being healthy and active. We had lots of fun and enjoyed our dancing.
Today, we had an expert footballer come to visit. He told us about his job and taught us some skills. We wonder if anyone in our class will be a professional footballer when they are grown-ups? A few of us managed to score a goal so watch this space!
