The children in F1 and F2 loved their party and looked so bright and cool! #LovePlover
This week we have done a slice on ‘how can you shine your light?’ We have learnt about Diwali and Bonfire Night, including the history of Guy Fawkes. We spoke about Bonfire safety and created our own sparklers and fireworks pictures in provision, the children have worked so hard.

Well done to some of our Y5/6 girls who took part in a netball tournament this afternoon at Laurel Academy in Mexborough. The girls developed their skills as the tournament went on. They missed out on reaching the final by a last minute point 2.1. #LovePlover

What a brilliant afternoon we had! We had some expert visitors.
Firefighters shine their light by saving people and keeping them safe. We learned about keeping safe on bonfire night. The most fun part was trying their kits on…or was it using the hose to knock the footballs off the cones? Or was being in the drivers seat of he truck? Or was it being in the back trying on the headphones and looking out of the windows pretending to be real FIREFIGHTERS? Oh, we can’t choose! Another awesome day at Plover school!
In 2L we are enjoying our new History Case Study. Today the children found out all about a significant person in our history, Queen Elizabeth II. We learned about her life and then put important events into chronological order on a timeline.
We learned lots of facts about her. Did you know her favourite castle was Balmoral Castle in Scotland? Oliver thought it would be very peaceful there away from the crowds in London.
Check out our timelines.

Good afternoon
Today we received notice that Plover School will be inspected by Ofsted tomorrow and on Wednesday.
Below is a letter which includes a link that you can follow to give feedback to Ofsted on our school.
We are delighted to have the opportunity to demonstrate the great work that your children do with us, and strongly encourage as many families as possible to take the time to complete the parentview survey.
We look forward to the next two days, and thank you all for your continued support.
A families’ guide to inspections can also be found by clicking here.

Today, in F2, we started our the half term lighting up our classroom with Diwali. We learned about the festival. We made some beautiful art. We made some delicious sweets. As we go along the week we will learn more about festivals and how we can shine our light to be kind. How do you shine?
