The children really enjoyed their first day back at school and looked amazing in their outfits from the past. We used this to explore vocabulary about the past, present and future and compared sources of information to spot similarities and differences.
We also used our expert visitor who used a drone to show us parts of Doncaster as seen from the air! It was really exciting to get a new perspective on our community.
We are all ready to get stuck into our new expedition!

It was marvellous seeing the children dressed in such smart and old fashioned clothes. We enjoyed a crew challenge. Geoff the expert showed us some aerial view photos of Intake and Doncaster. We learnt about some history of Doncaster and explored a time capsule and artefacts found within Plover! #LovePlover
A huge, huge appreciation and thank you from 1M, Plover school and Mrs Ogle for Maria! We were all so touched at the generous £110 donation Maria has raised from auctioning off her beautiful art work from last expedition, for school funds towards helping animals at our school! #LovePlover
Year 3 took part in a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory themed dress up day to launch our new expedition: ‘From Bean to bar, what’s the cost of a bar of chocolate?’ You all looked amazing, fabulous effort!
Many congratulations to Atlas, who trod the boards at the Doncaster Little Theatre over the Easter holidays.
He played the the central character of Pinocchio and even had to sing a solo of ‘I’ve got no strings’. Atlas had a great deal of lines to learn and spent a long time in rehearsals to prepare for the role.
Atlas brought a lovely collection of photos from the show to share with his class and crew.
Well done for your commitment and dedication Atlas, you have made us all very proud.
