Great learning!

Well done 2P for another great day of learning. We had almost the entire class online today so you and your adults need a HUGE pat on the back for managing to get everything sorted. You all get a massive shout out! Let’s see if we can get the last couple of people online today and get a full house!

A few extra shout outs for brilliant expedition pictures to Johnny, Kai, Shayen and Tim for these great efforts:

Well done everyone and I look forward to seeing you tomorrow.Mr Pickering

Celebration of home and school learning :)

Another day to be proud 1M and Plover Crew! We had similar engagement levels again today 😀 😀 meaning only 2 children aren’t accessing their remote learning, come on guys! 🙂

I can already feel it is going to be a tough decision on Friday to choose our Pride of Plover winner 🙂 Remember you need 100% attendance to be in with a chance, therefore accessing all live sessions and completing the required learning at home!

Check out the work from todays learning…

Enjoy your evening, and see you all tomorrow for 9am check in!

Keep it up!

Good morning Key Stage 1!

There was an excellent attendance for online learning from 1M and 1/2C yesterday – well done everyone! Maybe 2P can raise the game today and have an even greater number of pupils getting logged in. It will be great to see you!

Please remember that you MUST be logged in to your child’s, school email address to get access to the live lessons. If you try to enter with someone else’s login you will be refused access to the meeting. All of the links can now be found in the classroom with each lesson that has been set.

Please keep sending in pictures and videos of all of the excellent learning happening at home so we can add items to our blog.

Have a great!

Another Great Day for Learning in 1/2C

Another ‘Shout Out’ for my fabulous class.

I had all but 2 children either working on-line or in the classroom.  This is absolutely brilliant.  However, I always like a challenge so tomorrow I’m hoping for 100% 🙂

I would also love to see more photographs, I know you are all working so hard, let’s celebrate your achievements.

Have your circumstances changed? You may be entitled to Free School Meals.

If your child is in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, they have automatically received school meals when they were in school this year, but now we are back to learning from home, you may need to apply for Free School Meals, in order to qualify for the food vouchers to use in supermarkets.

If your child is in Year 3,4, 5 or 6 and your situation has changed, you may also be able to receive Free School Meals for your child.

Have a look at the list below and  visit the DMBC website to apply if you are eligible.

The process is quick and you can find out straight away.

Please contact school if you need support in applying and we will be happy to help.

Good Afternoon from KS1 Crew

Hi Everyone,

Firstly let me give a ‘Shout Out’ to Paul who was our Yellow T Shirt winner on Friday.  Paul has been fabulous during our remote lessons, he is always eager to share his thoughts and it’s great that he keeps the conversation going.

Secondly the whole crew in KS1 would like to give out shout out to our pupils and parents who have persevered with remote learning.  We know that some of you have struggled with internet access and using technology (this includes me!). But the uptake to online learning has been fantastic.  Let’s keep this going.

Can I ask that you use the children’s Plover school emails when accessing Google Classroom and the live learning, other passwords will result in you not having permission to access.  I know we have spoken to some parents that are struggling with remote learning, if you feel you do need any further support please let us know usually we can get you up and running quickly.  Lastly, where possible we would advise you to try to access the live lessons as a teacher will talk you through each slide which can be easier for you.

Many thanks again,

Mrs Coward and the KS1 Crew

Thank you and Well Done to Everybody!

Final blog of the week from me.

I would like to share my Friday evening feelings – sheer pride! I am so proud of every child in my class, their grown ups, our Plover staff crew and to be frank, everyone involved in education whether it be at home or in school!

We are in different times, but we are all showing great resilience, cooperation and dedication to what matters most… our children!

As the week went on more and more children were logging onto the online sessions which is amazing- lets get those last few online next week! I have been overwhelmed with the amount of work you superstars have been sending in and completing at home. Parents, I thank you for your continued support and hard work at home too- have a well deserved relaxing weekend!

Remember to keep sending photos of your childrens work and learning next week, as we love to celebrate the positives! Have a nice weekend all of you, stay safe, be proud and see you on Monday!

Check out the project our key worker children are creating for our London expedition!

1st Pride of Plover in 2021

Congratulations to Ryley who has won the Pride of Plover and is this weeks Yellow T-Shirt winner! Ryley has kept spirits high for children and staff in school this week. He has been working so hard on his handwriting too, which has made great progress.

He shared a few happy tears out of pure excitement when he was told he had won, and safe to say I had a lump in my throat and tear in my eye!

It was a tough decision as some children at home have been class in joining the online learning and completing their work… it might just be you next week!
