Remembrance day

In Foundation 1, we watched an animation about a bunny rabbit in a field of poppies. We tried to be quiet for two minutes, whilst we watched the film. We made poppies out of paper plates and decorated them with paint, glitter and tissue paper.

Being kind and working hard

Our postcards went to Paisley and Zara today. Paisley was really kind to her friends helping them in the line. Zara has moved up a reading shelf and concentrated whilst we checked which graphemes she knew. She knew all of them!

Well done girls, we are very proud of you.

Can you make a house using shapes?

The children explored making shape houses today. They drew around shapes, cut them out and stuck them together to make houses. The children were interested in making a road so have a look at what we made.

we are going to use it in our provision tomorrow.

Shape houses

Today we discussed 2d and 3d shapes. We cut out shapes to make our own shape houses, then put them on a road to make a street.

Collaboration

There was fantastic collaboration in F2P today. All the children shared their ideas in the groups that they were working in as they matched characters to settings. Well done everyone.

Making dogs with shapes

Our postcard went to Harper today for concentrating on using shapes to draw pictures. She shared her ideas and created a fantastic picture.

Well done Harper.

Lots of fun

We had lots of fun today exploring colour mixing by throwing paint onto wet paper. The children created firework pictures.

We also talked about Bonfire night and what we might see, do, smell and hear. It reminded us of the festivals that other people celebrate.

Showing care

Our Pride of Plover today went to Isla. She has been a superstar helping and caring for other children. She has really impressed me with how she is looking out for the needs and feelings of others.

Well done Isla.

Bonfire night

Happy bonfire night!

Today we have learnt the story behind bonfire night and how to be safe around fireworks. We then enjoyed making our own firework rockets.
