4 is…..

Our shout out goes to Paisley today for applying what she had learnt in maths into her play. She made buns in play dough for her friend’s birthday. She said that 4 was a 3 and a 1 and that was what she had learnt today. She then made 4 in different ways and could recall the number bonds without the dough.

Well done Paisley.

We care Wednesday

Today in crew we thought about how we can make our world a better place to link to COP26. The children worked in groups to think of ideas and then created a tree. Their pledge was to compost leaves, grass and peel so that we could make the soil better to grow vegetables. They also said they would like taps that they can stop, blankets so the heating can be turned down, water from the water tray to be used on the garden, animals to be fed properly, and everyone being kind.

This is the tree they made.

Well done to Thomas who wrote his name for the first time today.

I wonder what achievements we will see tomorrow. Keep it up F2P.

Extending learning

Well done to Oscar and Alec for extending their learning today and adding writing to their pictures in provision. Alex also coached Oscar helping him to learn how to write the graphemes correctly.

Well done boys.

What does a chapati moon look like?

The children worked together today to look at one of the pictures in Chapati Moon . They thought about what it looked like and described the moon. These are the ideas that they had.

We will use these ideas as we read and write sentences this week.

Postcard winners

Today we chose 2 people for our postcards who joined in with dancing really well.

Zara and Arez listened to the instructions really well and tried really hard to join in. Well done you too.

A shout out goes to all the children today for exceptional behaviour during both workshops. They all had stickers for working hard, being kind and showing the greatest respect for Nisha our visitor today. I was so proud of them. Well done F2P.
