Scrap heap challenge

As part of our hook week, the children were presented with a big pile of boxes on the carpet this morning. They were challenged to work together as a crew to build a rocket. I was so proud of how all the children worked collaboratively to build a rocket, then some children split into smaller groups to make some more rockets. The children showed great determination and resilience when creating their rockets and were very proud of their end results. We finished the day by giving appreciations to each other around this task in crew.

well done F2W!

Shoutout!

Well done to Reign who really impressed me with his phonics work today and had learnt some new sounds he had been working on. Keep up the hard work!

Don’t give up

Today in crew we learnt about dreams and goals. We talked about persevering to reach our goals. The children worked in pairs to complete a jigsaw. They found it very difficult but they didn’t give up.

Teamwork

Pheobe and Zuzanna did excellent teamwork today. They chose to work together to make a rocket and in crew worked together to create a jigsaw. Well done.
