We loved going out to explore the different workshops today whilst the road was closed. We tried circus tricks, waking smoothies and riding balance bikes. I was so proud to see how many children walked to school as well!

Ahead of World Book Day, which is held on Thursday 3rd March, we would like to invite all children to make a book character from a toilet roll tube (or something of an equivalent size that you have at home). You can bring them into your class on World Book Day and one child from each phase will win a special prize! Below are some photos that might give you some inspiration but please let your imaginations run wild! We can’t wait to see your creations! #LovePlover

We had two proud postcard winners today. They have both been superstars in their learning.

In crew today we talked about wanting to make our planet a better place and learnt about the climate coalition. We made green hearts which we made into a heart book.

Having looked at lots of different houses in different countries some children chose to paint pictures of their favourite houses.
Have a look at what we painted.

There was lots of talk about what they liked.

Mrs Price spoke to us today about life in Uganda, on behalf of her friend that had visited the country. The children got to look at a rage of photographs taken in Uganda and we compared the similarities and differences between there and South Africa.

In crew today we discussed how we can care for our planet and how to keep it clean. We cut out love hearts then wrote as a crew the ways in which we feel we can help.

Sergei did some amazing home learning, with the help of his mum, to help promote our walking to school month. Sergei was very proud to tell us how his picture was created and what it represents.
