We have been taking part in saying a poem, about our learning.
Well done, to those children who were brave and spoke clearly into the microphone.

In Foundation 1, we were exploring how to make a boat, for the Gingerbread Man to cross the river in.
We have also been making Gingerbread men from Plaster of Paris.
We can match the number of buttons on the Gingerbread man to the correct numeral.
We would be so very grateful to anyone who would like to donate towards our raffle and purchase tickets to raise funds for our Year 6’s leavers hoodies. Please take any donations to 6B (Miss Blackham) and see the above poster for details how to purchase tickets!

An exciting day! The Gingerbread Man got into lots of boats and he made it from one bank to the other bank. The children remembered the new vocabulary. Some needed to adapt their boats and some added to their boats. There were lots of questions and challenges but we saved the Gingerbread Man!
Well done everyone.

Nevaeh extended her own learning today by choosing to make a paper boat, after we had created our own boats, remembering to include parts of the boat such as the mast and the keel. Nevaeh persevered with her picture, going back to add the sand, ocean and waves underneath it. Well done Nevaeh.

Over the past two days we have planned, created and tested our own boats to safely help the gingerbread man cross the river. The children used a range of tools and materials to make their boats and were very proud of their creations.

Today we followed our plans and made our boats. We chose the resources that we had added on to our planning sheets.
Tomorrow we are going to sail the boats. Will they work? Can we save the Gingerbread Man?

Next term EYFS are going to be learning about the seaside. Our expedition is called What happens where the sea meets the shore? We will be learning about what the seaside looks like now and what it looked like long ago.
We are asking for your help.
If you go to the seaside for a day trip or on holiday please can you send us photos on Evidence Me. If you have any old photos that we could use or artefacts that we could look at we would appreciate seeing those also. We would like to make a timeline of changes over time.
We are looking forward to seeing your photos.

Well done to Sujaya and Elizabeth for matching the correct numeral to the number of buttons on our Gingerbread man!
