Today children at home and in school have wowed us with their art skills, creating bears in lots of different ways. I can’t wait to see more bear artwork tomorrow. Get those paints and brushes out ready!
We have been exploring different materials that we can use in collage. This is the bear that we have made and the words that we have used to describe it.

We have had some excellent examples from home too.

In Maths today we are going to compare numbers and objects within 15. Can you make a bead string or a counting line. We are learning about which number is more/most/greatest and which is less/fewest, and using the word equal. Can you use the words as you compare the numbers? Send us photos of your learning.
This is the link to the video of the lesson.
We will start every phonics session with a quick practice of the graphemes and tricky words that we have already covered. For this you will need to click on each of the links below or make your own flashcards to match.

Can you think of any other ee or oo words? If you can write them down and remember to send a photo of your learning to show what you have done.

Tomorrow our Pride of Plover will be done differently. We will share the winner in our morning hangout. We will be taking home learning into consideration too so don’t worry if you are at home.

A huge well done to everyone today, both children and parents. It’s been our first full day of learning today and I can’t single anyone out as you have all worked so hard. The children in school have enjoyed sharing their classroom with their teddies today and despite wearing their pyjamas all day have been anything but sleepy. I’ve enjoyed seeing all the great learning you have been doing at home too. Your bear pictures are brilliant with some great adjective choices. Thanks to all our parents, supporting children’s learning and persevering with the technology!
