To complete our hook week this week, Geoff came in to speak to us about musical instruments and helped us make our own. After we had made our instruments Geoff played the guitar and sang songs with us, whilst we played along.

Well done to Leighton who worked super hard to get the yellow T-shirt this week! I have seen a great improvement in Leighton’s attitude to learning which has also reflected in his HOWL’s. Well done Leighton, keep it up.

Today as part of hook week we made lemonade. The children loved tasting their home made lemonade and said It tasted delicious! We then had a taste of the lemons which the children said were very sour. Shoutout to Sergei who said our lemonade has lots of sugar in it so it’s not healthy, even though it tastes yummy!

It was so cold outside that the water in the tray froze. The children explored the ice. They smashed it, made shapes, wrote on it and had lots of fun!

As part of our hook week, the children were presented with a big pile of boxes on the carpet this morning. They were challenged to work together as a crew to build a rocket. I was so proud of how all the children worked collaboratively to build a rocket, then some children split into smaller groups to make some more rockets. The children showed great determination and resilience when creating their rockets and were very proud of their end results. We finished the day by giving appreciations to each other around this task in crew.
well done F2W!
