Today, we deepened our knowledge about hedgehogs. We learnt that hedgehogs are nocturnal meaning they are only awake and move around at night time in the dark. Other vocabulary we used included camouflage and predators. I wonder if the children can explain what the hedgehogs have to protect themselves? We then used our D&T skills to create clay hedgehogs. This week we have been learning about Autumn and the celebrations we celebrate during this period. Last week many of the children celebrated halloween. Yesterday we went on an Autumnal walk to spot the signs of Autumn. We’ve created autumnal animals. Today we had a camp fire and learnt about the history of bonfire night and how we stay safe around bonfires, fireworks and sparklers. Then we created some bonfire art. #LovePlover
We enjoyed using chalk on the playground to make some Diwali fire work patterns and art! The children then explored sketching around their friends! #LovePlover
