TGB Crew

In crew we worked together as a team to complete a fun challenge. Using our shoes we had to build the tallest shoe tower. The children showed great respect and teamwork to complete this challenge! #LovePlover

Fieldwork at The Aircraft Museum

Today, we excitedly travelled by coach to The Aircraft Museum. We looked at lots of aircraft and even got to sit in the cockpit! We loved going on a coach together and we enjoyed exploring. Finally, it was great getting back just in time for lunch!

F1 Visit Doncaster Aircraft Museum

Thank you to all the parents who helped on our visit to the aircraft museum this morning, without your help the trip would not have been possible. The children had lots of fun exploring real life planes/helicopters, both old and new. We can’t wait to hear about the children’s experiences in their follow up learning tomorrow. We had such a great morning!

World Book Day Thursday 5th March

At Plover, we will be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 5th March.

As always, children are invited to come to school dressed as a book character, but in Year 3 and 4, we are linking the day to our current Expedition and we are asking for children to come dressed up as characters from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Please do not feel you have to go out and buy a costume, there are lots of fantastic ideas for inspiration at very low cost online.

I can’t wait to see all the fantastic creations.

Making and flying paper aeroplanes in F2BP

Today, we read an information book called In the Air. It was all about things that fly. We learned about passenger planes and cargo planes. We decided to make our own paper aeroplanes and we even got to fly the, outside! After that, we thought about some places we might like to visit in the world. For that, we need passports. We have made our own passports. On Carpet Kingdom, some children talked about their passport and where they would travel to. They showed courage!
