Boggledybook’s Book Fair

On Thursday 16th November, we are delighted to have local book shop ‘Boggledybooks’ in school to run their brilliant value book fayre.

All books are brand new and ÂŁ1, ÂŁ2 or ÂŁ3 so it is a great opportunity to get stocked up for Christmas.

They will be in school all day, so your child can bring in money and will be taken to the book fayre to choose a book. If you prefer to visit yourself, they will be in school till approx 3:45.

We look forward to seeing you then.

Return Phonics Books in Book Bags Tomorrow

Good evening KS1 grown ups,

Just a reminder for all children to return their Book Bags tomorrow please, and children who have had phonics books MUST return these tomorrow – if not unfortunately there will be a charge for the phonics books.

Thank you for your cooperation.

2L Poppy Art Work

Yesterday, the children in 2L worked on the Buzeman Art inspired poppy artwork. They used pastels to create the mood in the background, before using acrylic paint with different pulling and pointillism techniques to create the poppy fields. We are so proud of their creativity.

Change of PE day for this week

Good evening and apologies for the late notice.

2P (Mr Pickering’s class) will have PE tomorrow (Wed 8th)

1M (Mr Meade’s class) will have PE on Thursday (Thur 9th)

Please do not worry if children do not have their PE kits because of the change of day.

Thank you for your support and apologies for any inconvenience

Freckle

Freckle is an online learning platform that allows students to independently practice Maths. This is an optional homework that can help children improve their fact recall.

Freckle continuously adapts to each child’s individual skills, so each student is getting the appropriate challenge, whether they’re working at, above, or below the expected level.

Children can practice in Freckle on their own for a certain amount of time every day or week. Even if the teacher doesn’t give you specific instructions, your child can access Freckle and practice on their own at any time.

There are several different, age-appropriate and skill-level-appropriate maths activities that students can practice independently.

This week the children will bring home details of how to log onto Freckle. If you have any questions, please speak to a member of the team.
