2P continued to build our Crew, along with our learning skills, to paint our Fairy doors using our designs. Cooperation and collaboration are often the hardest skills to use and we did brilliantly! Keep it up 2P!

2P have started to answer our Crew guiding question. We discussed that building our community and showing kindness to others should happen everywhere. We have decided to create some fairy doors that we will place in the local community to help cheer everyone up. There will also be some little surprises placed with them! We used our collaboration and critique skills today to design what we wanted to add onto our doors.

It was lovely getting to know the children on their first day today and finding out about their Summer holidays! We began by thinking about our different emotions and about what they would look like on our faces. This afternoon we enjoyed playing some crew building games and working on our listening and communication skills.
I’m looking forward to seeing you tomorrow!

Welcome back to 2P! We have started easing back into school by building our Crew skills. Today we focussed on emotions and we thought about how different colours can be matched to different feelings. We tried to show what we might look like when we are happy, sad, scared or angry. We talked about how we can sometimes control our feelings ourselves but that we might sometimes need help from others.
This afternoon, we had to use communication skills to solve problems in our team games. We were surprised at how quickly we can make progress when we work together!
Happy Holidays 1/2K! My last ever Kās; youāll always have such a special place in my heart. I hope you all have the most wonderful adventures this summer. Take care. āļø
Thank you 1M for being the best children and class ever! So many beautiful children with different skills, abilities and personalities who have all grown and shone in one way or another. I will miss you all dearly.
Thank you to our wonderful 1M grown ups too for your continuous cooperation, communication and generosity – it is greatly appreciated!
Have a lovely summer 1M crew, stay safe, stay cool and have lots of fun! Mr Meade #LovePlover
1M loved the silent disco this afternoon… we will post a KS1 silent disco video of all the fun later this week! #LovePlover
Today we have been learning about a very special person in Buddhism. We shared the story of how Buddhism came to be, the story of Siddhartha Gautama and the journey he went on. After sharing the story and we engaged in a true or false quiz in teams. Here are our champions!
Then we talked about what kind of person he is and used adjectives to describe him. We came up with adjectives like caring, patient, curious, content and wise. We then used our word bank turned them into sentences.
We then followed a guided meditation, just like Buddha did under the Bodhi tree. This was led by a Monk. The children practiced the most popular breathing meditations in the world.
The children from red crews in KS1 had a great afternoon! As the winning Crew for Spring term, they enjoyed a water fight and even though it wasn’t very sunny, their smiles and laughter were enough to brighten the dull day. Congratulations to Crew Lewis and Ketteringham!
