Then for a hook week activity we made two superhero collages with tissue paper – Fire Girl and Water Boy! After we flicked paint to create our Fire of London back drop.
In Crew children had to work together to line up from tallest to smallest.

Today, the children started immersing themselves in the new expedition. As part of hook week, we worked with watercolours and poster paint to create a Great Fire of London-themed piece of class art work.
First, we discovered how to use watercolour brushes and choose the right colours for our painting. We then worked in teams to paint the different houses and flames using watercolours.
After this, we used poster paint and a splatter art technique to create a sky background filled with burning embers.
Once this was dry, we mounted the houses and flames to create an excellent piece of art!
