This week 1/2K started exploring the book “The Big Book of Birds” for inspiration for our next piece of writing. As it is a non-fiction text we have looked at all the different features of a non fiction book and thought about what that might look like for our writing. Miss Ketteringham showed us a model text and to help us learn it, we drew a text map and acted out the information. Here is our performance.

Under the Sea in PE

As part of hook week we linked our PE lessons to under the sea. We played different teams games like shark attack! In Maths we started exploring place value within 20. #LovePlover

Under The Sea Artists – Hook Day

Today we created a habitat box model – under the sea! We were artists and learned how to use our tearing, twisting, scrunching, cutting, snipping, sticking, layering, collage, pulling, bending, colouring and painting skills. #LovePlover

Dinosaur Hunters 🦕 🦖

Y1 noticed dinosaur footprints on the playground, then found different dinosaurs and sorted them into carnivores, herbivores, omnivores! Next they did some dinosaur footprints of their own and finally they drew a dinosaur! #LovePlover
