EYFS Sport’s Day

Due to the rain this morning Sport’s Day will not be happening. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. The children will still do their races in the school hall but we won’t be able to have adults in.

Many thanks

F2 Faith Day

Today, we did some mindful meditation and talked about how it made us feel. Lots of children used the words ā€˜calm, happy, tired, sad, danceyā€™.
We then watched a video about BUDDHISM. The children talked about The Buddha and how he was enlightened and realised that there was so much suffering in the world but we needed to learn to be happy with what we have got. Buddhists use meditation to help them focus on these things. They celebrate the Buddha on Vesak day. Similar to some of the celebrations we have, they give cards. They also have lanterns to keep the dark away.

We made some lanterns to help us remember about Vesak.

When I grow up!

Happy Monday! Thank you to all of the wonderful children in Reception for a fantastic two days last week; I am so excited to be your teacher!

Day 1: We learned all about the story of Kevin the Koala. A Koala who didn’t like change. We talked about changes that were happening in our lives and that sometimes they can be scary but sometimes they can be fantastic. We became Can-Do Koalas!

Day 2: We talked all about ambition. We talked about different jobs, we had a special visitor from Tom who talked to us about what life is like in the army and talked about what we would like to do when we grow up. We have lots of future police officers, farmers, teachers, and a fantastic gymnastics coach to look forward to. We then listened to some music from Matilda and created a dance routine. Take a look!

Lovely Day in New F2M

It has been brilliant to spend some more time with the new children in F2M today. We have enjoyed crew, feelings check in, cutting, sticking, counting, reading, writing and most importantly playing with our news friends! Canā€™t wait to see you all at the end of August F2M. #LovePlover

F2 Sports for champions

F2 have loved working with Jason Cunningham today, doing some exercises! We learnt about Jasonā€™s boxing career and he taught us how to throw some punches. Ivy demonstrated to the children. We also practised some training exercises.

Noah won one of the prizes for bringing in lots of sponsor money. Maisie, Georgie, Thomas and Ivy also got certificates for the money that they raised.

Well done everyone.
