All of my phonics group worked so hard to try and read green words today. These children managed to say all the sounds and blend them together to read at least 3 words independently. I am so proud of them- rapid progress!

Well done to Miss Benn’s phonics group. They have been working hard and have written words on their own. They have been using Fred fingers.

Well done to Milana for fantastic maths today. She was able to say the different ways she could make 5 as well as the ways she could make the numbers within 5. You are a superstar!
Well done to Patsy-Ann who also said how she could make 5 and then challenged herself to record what she had found out. Fantastic maths.

Abubakr – working hard in phonics
Lottie, Harris and Eddie- trying really hard in phonics
Mrs Reeve’s phonics groups for reading and writing phrases and sentences
Then this afternoon Max has blown us away with his progress in phonics. What a superstar Max.

Today we listened to the 1812 overture. We thought about how it made us feel. We then talked about loud and quiet and how we could move like fireworks to the music, going up, down and around. We had some very creative children.

Lottie and Ola are our yellow T-shirt winners this week. They both work so hard and are kind and respectful. We love having them in F2!

F2 have been practicing their gross motor skills by pretending to be fireworks outside. They have used different equipment, especially ribbons to make the shapes.

Please can children wear uniform on Monday instead of PE kit for the photos.
Thank you

We talked around the campfire about our experiences of bonfire night and fireworks, focusing on avoiding dangers and keeping ourselves safe. We looked at special foods we might have on bonfire night and role played toasting marshmallows.
We had a fantastic time when Forest schools came to visit yesterday. We found different coloured leaves and made an Autumn rainbow. We collected conkers, practised our counting skills and explored how the different shapes rolled. We made a squirrel picture with our findings and enjoyed toasting marshmallows over the fire.
