RE in F2

The children in F2 learnt all about The Christmas Story yesterday. They then worked in small groups to put the pictures from the story into the correct order. Keep working hard F2!

Snuggle and story

It was lovely to welcome parents into the classroom this week. Hopefully see some of you over the coming weeks. Don’t worry if you can’t come every week, we will be happy to see you whenever you can make it :]

We care Wednesday

We met Smudge the cat this week. He was in the story of ‘Be the kind kid’. We really enjoyed this story and it reminded us about the importance of being kind. We have been thinking of ways to be kind. We have even made badges to give out to people we see being kind this week :] It feels good to be kind!

Odd socks sponsored walk

F2 were fantastic on the sponsored walk this afternoon. They sang and marched as well as walking despite the blustery weather.

Thank you to all those who sent donations towards the KS1 buddy benches.

Remembering

Throughout the week F2 have been learning about Remembrance. They made poppies which we used to create displays. They sat beautifully in our service this morning showing respect in the minutes silence.

Celebrating Diwali

We have had a lovely day celebrating and learning about Diwali in F2. Nivriti told us about Rangoli patterns and showed us her special clothes and jewellery.

The children listened to the story of Rama and Sita, made patterns as well as making diva lamps.

Some children also practiced Bhangra dancing.

F2 Pride of Plover

This weeks yellow T-shirts went to Milana and Bianca. Milana has been super kind and helped lots of children across both classes. Being kind makes such a difference to us all.
Bianca has made amazing progress in phonics and can even write sentences now! We are so proud of them both!

Boggledybook’s Book Fair

On Thursday 16th November, we are delighted to have local book shop ‘Boggledybooks’ in school to run their brilliant value book fayre.

All books are brand new and £1, £2 or £3 so it is a great opportunity to get stocked up for Christmas.

They will be in school all day, so your child can bring in money and will be taken to the book fayre to choose a book. If you prefer to visit yourself, they will be in school till approx 3:45.

We look forward to seeing you then.
