It was wonderful to celebrate with our yellow t-shirt winners today. Both Bakr and Thomas have worked hard. They have been enthusiastic and have shared their learning. Thomas has worked hard on his motor skills and Bakr has shown everyone how to dance and has helped others with the words for the nativity.
We are proud of you both and hope you keep up that fantastic work.

We have had a lovely afternoon in the woods for our celebration of learning. Thank you so much to all of the families that came along to support us, we really appreciate it.
The children enjoyed singing to their grown ups and then hiding their pebbles, before looking for other peoples.
If youāre out and about in Sandal Beat Woods, have a look if you can see any of our pebbles and upload some pictures to the Doncaster Rocks Facebook page for others to find/re-hide.

We have been reading ‘Leaf Man’ by Lois Ehlert. We used items from outdoors and the classroom to create our own leaf man.

Well done to Reggie and Bria for getting the yellow t-shirts today. They have both been working really hard, are kind and helpful and are a pleasure to have in class.
You are both superstars.

We did tummy time drawing today to match sounds from the story to musical instruments and to shapes we could make. This is what we did.

This week, we have read the book, drawn a story map, added captions, built the settings, retold the story and even used instruments to tell the story! We hope you enjoy our class retelling! Most of us loved it!
The classrooms were visited by Christmas elves last night. The children have had a great morning learning and exploring some Christmassy provision.
