Expert Artist

Yesterday we had the best morning! Helen came to visit and showed us how to paint with different media and techniques. We had a go at painting our own postcards from the seaside. Mrs Bubb was blown away by our masterpieces! What do you think? Can you see the different ways we use our brush to create movement. Can you see the correct colours we have picked?

This morning, we pretended to be on holiday and wrote a postcard. Can you see our capital letters, finger spaces and full stops, and of course, our awesome use of phonics? #loveplover

EYFS artist visit

We would like to say a very big thank you to Helen for visiting Plover today. She is a local artist. Helen showed the children some of her artwork and how to paint seaside pictures. She then spoke to them as they painted their own postcards. We have some amazing artists in F2 who can explain their colour choice and what they are painting.

Gravel please

For the EYFS outdoor area we need gravel and small stones to create a vehicle area where the children can use toy vehicles and create roads.

If you have or know anyone who has a large amount of gravel that they would donate to us it would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

F2 Pride of Plover

Well done to Max and Georgia for earning our badges this week. Max has been working really hard and getting smart, especially in phonics. He has been kind helping his friends too. Georgia has been a good helper especially when children have struggled with their learning. She has been kind to grown-ups too. Mrs Reeve said that Georgia has been working hard in phonics. You are both superstars.

Becoming independent

This week we have been focussing on using cutlery. It was lovely to see children cutting up their own dinner today.

Time to pack!

Lucy and Tom (from our book) forgot to pack so they sent us a postcard to ask us to pack their bag for them. We read it and placed all the things we needed in the bag. This week, we are going to write our own lists for packing our seaside bag.

Beep beep!

Today’s crew was all about road safety. We made a poster using our hand print to remind everyone to hold an adult’s hand when crossing the road. Have a chat with the children to see what they remember about road safety.

Making sandwiches

We have been sharing the book Lucy and Tom at the seaside. Lucy and Tom packed sandwiches to take with them on their journey so the children did the same. They used their fine motor skills to spread the margarine and the jam.

Celebration time

It was lovely to celebrate the achievements of our children today.

Some children had certificates for 100% attendance.

Georgia celebrated achieving a medal in dancing.

Scarlett celebrated achieving a new belt in martial arts.

Maisie celebrated swimming 20 metres and coming 5th in the NHS name a robot competition.

Mylo celebrated reading and making words on his own.

Well done F2P. Let’s see who we can celebrate with next week.
