This week we have been learning about the composition of numbers and today we have been making 7 in different ways. The children used Nuimicon and cubes as part of their indoor learning.
During outdoor play they played a game with a hoop and 7 bean bags. They had to say how many were in or out of the hoop and the equation that matched. They were very competitive!

Thank you to all the parents and carers who supported World book day. The children were very excited to talk about their characters. We had some characters that went together eg Jessie and Woody, Hanna and Elza, Alice in Wonderland and the Queen of hearts.
There were some fantastic “books in a box” too.
In assembly this morning, all the children sat beautifully and listened to information about the day.

During outdoor play, the children read clues to find the Gingerbread Man. They used their phonics skills to sound out words. They read the clues and were successful in finding the Gingerbread Man. He will be hiding again tomorrow and there will be more clues to find!

We are so excited to invite all of our parents and carers to our celebration of learning on the 15th March at 2pm. Our children have been working so hard this term as part of our Expedition ‘once upon a time, who is hiding in the pages of the book’. The children have been raising money to gift to the children’s hospital, Kiddiwinks and other local groups. We hope to see you there!

Lacey-Jayne and Emilia won Pride of Plover this week for kindness. They both spread kindness in F2 and look after people. They brighten up our days with their huge smiles!
Thank you to all those who have supported our fundraising this term. We have raised just over Ā£700. We are going to buy books to create book baskets for places in the community, books for the children’s wards in the hospital and Kiddiewinks. We are also going to add to our reading for pleasure books that the children take home and all our EYFS children will have their own book.
If you know of a venue in the local area that would like a basket of books for children to read/share at the venue please let us know.
