Well done to both of our Pride of Plover winners today. Maisie and Thomas were both chosen for being excellent examples of our Plover Pledge. We are really proud of them.

Well done to Oliver for being our Pride of Plover. Oliver has been following his morning routine and coming to the carpet. The children in our crew were able to say how amazing Oliver has been.

World Ocean Day

Today we celebrated World Ocean Day. We learnt about the problem with plastics in the sea and what we can do to help the sea creatures. We shared the story “The Undersea Cleaning Spree” and considered why the sea creatures were sad.

Sticky Knowledge

Today we looked at the festival of Diwali and recalled what we had learnt last year.

These are the things that we remembered.

fishy family learning

What a lovely morning we had. I’m not sure who enjoyed it the most? The children or the grown-ups! It was lovely to see all the creativity and the team work going on in making some beautiful sea creatures. I have hung them and stuck them and draped them and admired them this evening. They have made our classroom beautiful! Thank you to everyone who came and supported their children in our colourful expedition, ‘What happens where the sea meets the shore?’

Aqualease visit F2P

What an amazing the day. The children have learnt about creatures that live in rock pools. They were really gentle with the sea creatures and many of them held them. The Aqualease team commented on how polite, respectful and well behaved the children were too.

We hope you enjoy watching our video. There may be more photos to attach.

Aqualease Visitor

Wow! What an amazing experience we had today. The children had so much to say when they had their turn exploring the creatures. They listened beautifully and loved having hands-on experience! Thank you to our parents for supporting your children and enabling them to have this amazing opportunity in school. They have loved it! I cannot wait to see their beautiful work throughout the week. Watch this space!

Rekenreks

Today, we learned how to use rekenreks, in maths. We use one finger for one push! We are going to use these in the coming weeks to help us solve problems in our number work! #loveplover
