We really do go to the best school! What a lovely way to explore what happens where the sea meets the shore!

Which is your favourite ice-cream?
The children enjoyed tasting ice-cream today. They used their maths skills to create a bar chart to see which flavour was the most popular.

Wonderful maths work
Today, Mr Longley came to see our maths work. We showed him our ten fat sausages game to help us learn the numbers that make ten. After carpet time, Tommy made some work to show the numbers that go together to make ten. He didnāt have any help and he talked about the pairs of numbers that make ten, with confidence. Well done Tommy!

ice cream
Today, we tasted ice cream and voted for our favourite flavour. We made a tally chart and worked out the total numbers. We could then talk about the least and most popular flavours. We decided to transform our role play are into an ice cream shop. We made a sign, menus and pictures to enhance our role play area. We canāt wait to play together and see which is the most ordered flavour of ice cream.

Fantastic learning
There was some fantastic learning in child initiated learning time today.
Arianna, Georgie and Scarlett did some super writing about the seaside. Georgia painted a picture of a mermaid. She took lots of care and was careful how she mixed the colours.

F2 Pride of Plover
Today we chose Harry and Reeshan. Harry has been working hard particularly in maths. He has been coaching his friends and showing them different ways to solve problems. Reeshan has settled well into school after only starting a few weeks ago. Both boys were really happy to get their certificates.
You are both superstars.

F2 local area walk
We went to post our postcards to Helen today. We followed a trail and answered clues along the way. The footsteps on the map showed us which way to go.

Expert Artist
Yesterday we had the best morning! Helen came to visit and showed us how to paint with different media and techniques. We had a go at painting our own postcards from the seaside. Mrs Bubb was blown away by our masterpieces! What do you think? Can you see the different ways we use our brush to create movement. Can you see the correct colours we have picked?
This morning, we pretended to be on holiday and wrote a postcard. Can you see our capital letters, finger spaces and full stops, and of course, our awesome use of phonics? #loveplover
EYFS artist visit
We would like to say a very big thank you to Helen for visiting Plover today. She is a local artist. Helen showed the children some of her artwork and how to paint seaside pictures. She then spoke to them as they painted their own postcards. We have some amazing artists in F2 who can explain their colour choice and what they are painting.
