Thank you all Plover parents!

Thank you to all Plover parents for your kind wishes as I move into a different career. I have had the pleasure of working here at Plover for 13 years and have always found you all to be very supportive (and some have been very entertaining too!) I am hoping to call back for the Year 6 passing out ceremony so I may see you there.

Hydraulics Home Learning!

In our recent expedition, ’How does movement affect our world?’, we were learning about different forces. Rowan and his dad decided to further Rowan’s learning by building a hydraulics system! It was very cleverly completed using a system of syringes and pivot points.

Open The Book Assembly

This week, we were visited by a wonderful team of people from Open The Book, who performed the nativity story for the whole school. The children listened so carefully to the retelling of the story and really enjoyed themselves.

Welcome Baby Alice

Today we got to meet Baby Alice our Roots of Empathy teacher for the very first time. We were super excited!

In our first session we made predictions about what Baby Alice can do already and we got the chance to ask our questions to her Mummy Rachael and observe for ourselves what Baby Alice can do. We spoke about both ours and Baby Alice’s feelings, made her feel welcome with toys and we even sang some Nursery Rhymes to her when she became upset to see if it soothed her. Baby Alice and her Mummy Rachael really enjoyed their visit to school today and so did all of 5K! We can’t wait to see Baby Alice in January to see how much she has changed.

Congratulations, Jasper!

Our guess the name of the teddy was announced during Crew Community Meet today. Children were able to guess the name of our lovely gingerbread character at our Science Fair last week. Mrs Ogle selected the winning name from a list, ‘Jaffa’, and Jasper won! Here he is with his prize. Thank you to all who supported this. #LovePlover
