Handwriting

Today we did handwriting practice on eachother’s backs. We had to start right at the top of our buddy’s back because they were tall letters. When we write in our books tomorrow, we are going to start at the very top to make our ascenders nice and tall.

Tuesday’s Maths Challenge Solution

How many handshakes?

Amy, Liam, Samira and Luke meet up. Each person shakes hands with every other person once. How many handshakes are there in total?

Answer: 6

Instructions

Today, we learned about instructions. We learned some fancy words to help us learn how to give clear instructions. ‘Time conjunctions’ are the words at the beginning of each instruction to tell us when to do it. The ‘imperative verb’ tells us the action we must carry out. We called it a bossy verb because it is the word we must do. Miss Carter was our robot who followed our clear instructions. Tomorrow we will write them and be a robot ourselves to see if they work! ✍️
