Experimenting the Importance of Exercise in KS1

All children in KS1 enjoyed being put through their paces this morning to complete a circuit of exercises! We learnt how important exercise is for our bodies, to improve our mental and physical health and to pump blood to the brain to help is learn more! We were hot, sweaty, panting, red faced and our heart rates were beating much faster! #LovePlover

We are Crew!

In crew, we talked about praise. It felt so good to give out stickers to eachother when we spotted eachother working hard or being kind.

KS1 Poem of the week

Each week as part of our Reading Crew, the children are going to be learning to perform and recite poetry. We decided to start with a traditional funny poem.

Have a go at reading with us!

On the Ning Nang Nong

On the Ning Nang Nong
Where the Cows go Bong!
and the monkeys all say BOO!
There’s a Nong Nang Ning
Where the trees go Ping!
And the tea pots jibber jabber joo.
On the Nong Ning Nang
All the mice go Clang
And you just can’t catch ’em when they do!
So it’s Ning Nang Nong
Cows go Bong!
Nong Nang Ning
Trees go ping
Nong Ning Nang
The mice go Clang
What a noisy place to belong I
s the Ning Nang Ning Nang Nong!!

Mr Meade and Miss Carter gave a Plover praise postcard to Riley and Kobin for coming to school everyday in this new year! Mrs Ogle was so impressed too with the pledges they have made to improve their attendance, she awarded them with a head teachers Plover praise postcard! Keep it up boys 😀 #LovePlover
