Wow what an exciting week! We have started learning about a new text in English. I love this book! It’s about a very important person who was a real life hero called Rosa Parks. We have been using our imaginations to re-create scenes from the book to put ourselves in her shoes. We all agreed that she is a very inspirational person for standing up for what’s right. See the photos below (taken by Elijah – thanks Elijah!) of our bus. We took turns to play Rosa and the bus driver and stand up and say ‘NO’! We can’t believe that the bus driver would ask Rosa to give up her seat just because of the colour of her skin.
Remember, tomorrow is our American dinner day at school! Make sure you’re wearing the colours of the flag, read, white and blue. We won’t be having pancakes anymore but we will be having brownies instead which I personally think is a win because they are my favourite! We also have our Halloween film night so make sure you pass on your ÂŁ2 to me, it’s going to be lots of fun!
P.S It will finish at 4:30!
