3H have acted out being solids, liquids and gasses. Then they found out what it was like for a sound wave to travel through these different states of matter. I wonder if your child can tell you which state a sound wave will travel through quickest: a solid, a liquid or a gas? Can they take it a step further and tell you why this is?

Well done 3H. What a day full of scientific fun!
