The Summer Term begins – just a little differently!

As you will know on Monday next week we should have been returning to school but sadly we will have to wait a little longer until we are all back at school together.

However, on Monday, every phase in school will be launching their Summer Expeditions and they will begin with some fun activities in what is better known as ‘Hook Week’!  We hope to see as many of you as possible engaging in fun and exciting learning activities.

Our Expedition Guiding Questions are:

FS1                              ‘What is growing?’

FS2                              ‘Is it real? Does it move?’

KS1                              ‘Where does our food come from?’

KS2, Year 3&4             ‘Why were the Tudors so important?’

KS2, Years 5&6           ‘What did the Greeks do for us?’

Children should continue to access their daily learning via either ‘Evidence Me’ for EYFS or ‘Google Classroom’ and the class blog for Years 1 to 6.  Should you have any problems accessing learning activities, then please either telephone the school office or email your child’s phase leader as per the addresses below:

EYFS               [email protected]

KS1                  [email protected]

Year 3/4           [email protected]

Year 5/6           [email protected]

SEN                 [email protected]

As we continue to live during this period of lock down, we would like to have contact with you or your child at least once a week.  This is not intended to be an invasion of your lives or an insult to your skills as parents, it is simply to try and keep a little normality and to help the children cope with what will inevitably be a very emotionally challenging time.

If there is anything we can help or advise on during this period of uncertainty please do reach out to us and let us know, if we can help in any way we will. Hope to see you all accessing Google Classroom next week, send your Teachers lots of photos too and continue to look out for our Feel Good Friday videos!

Stay safe and please remember we are only a phone call or email away.
