Last week Year 6 were well and truly immersed into our new Expedition- WWII: what is Doncaster’s story? We transformed our classroom and added a tank and an aeroplane. We have filled our corridors with poppies and the names of fallen Doncaster soldiers; we have created evacuee suitcases to place around our rooms and labelled them with evacuee names who were sent to Doncaster. We have also created Blitz art work and we are just starting our first book of the term, ‘Goodnight Mr Tom!’ It’s all very exciting and we can’t wait to learn about the causes of War this week and how they impacted Doncaster!
