New book day

Today in Phonics, my group started their new book! The children were expecting a story about hamsters but instead found out it was an information book about how to look after them.

A great first day of reading our book guys, keep it up this week!

Amazing Home Learning

A great big shout out to the amazing children who have been completing some Home Learning.

I have been blown away by your creativity and how you have been sharing your learning with your adults at home. Well done!

We are artists

In Year 2 this week we have been learning about primary and secondary colours. The children enjoyed mixing paint and making their own colour wheels.

Name Writing

Some of our F1 children have had a really good go at copying their name today in our handwriting lines. We worked on holding our pencil correctly to help us form letters more easily.

Pride Of Plover

Well done to Abbie and Nusang who both got our yellow T-shirt today for trying really hard to improve their independence with their toilet training. I am so proud of how far you have both come since starting school.

Settling In

I am so pleased with you today Jacoby! You have settled into nursery so well, you chose where you wanted to learn, did some maths and had a smile on your face. Keep it up.

Finding 3 in play

Wow. There are lots of 3s in our provision. We can make 3 in many different ways. We also talked about the sizes in the sets that we made.

Mathematician

Well done to Eymen who has cut out shapes from paper today and named them! I praise your perseverance when you tried to cut out a circle but found it tricky so you then drew a circle to cut round. Even though you still found this tricky you did not give up, you tried to rip the circle out and glued the paper back together when you ripped it too far. I am so proud of how hard you worked on this task!

Getting Smart

Well done to Edith who had remembered today that apples must be a fruit because they have seeds in them!

Shout out to Cohen too, who when doing his printing, said “I only need to paint the green leaves because cauliflowers are white”.
