Minibeast hunt

Today we have been on a minibeast hunt outside on our playground and FS2 playground. We enjoyed the minibeast hunt and found lots of spiders! We had to tick the minibeasts that we had found. After we had finished our hunt, we made a pictogram to show our results.

In the afternoon, we drew a minibeast and painted it, we got rather messy.

First day in Year 2.

We have had a fun first day back at school. We have been looking at our new expedition which is called ‘What minibeasts can survive in Doncaster?’ We have talked about what we already know about minibeasts and what we would like to find out about minibeasts.

We have been very lucky in Key Stage One to get new toilets over the holidays. We think they look super!

Have a lovely summer 2Lo!

As I look through all the lovely and generous presents you have bought me this year, I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU! It has been a pleasure to have you all in my class this year.

Have a fantastic summer and stay safe. I cannot wait to see you all looking so grown up in year 3 😊

Bucket Fillers.

What a busy day we have had in year 2! We have looked at a book called ‘Have you filled a bucket today?’ and we’re working on being bucket fillers, not bucket dippers. We decided to draw our own versions of the bucket and we were able to produce some fantastic drawings by critiquing each others work.

Tomorrow, we are looking forward to decorating biscuits during Plover Praise Time.
