We are so excited to invite our parents and carers to our celebration of learning based on our guiding question, āHow will what I do today impact tomorrowā. The COL will take place on the 27th March 2024 at 2pm.
We will share some of our learning throughout this term and we will be officially opening our new mini Eco-Garden and dedicating our fruit trees to some of our community heroes. We would love you to join in the celebration with our special guest, the Rt Hon. Dame Rosie Winterton M.P.
We are looking forward to celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 7th March.
It would be lovely to see the children dressed up as their favourite book character, but please don’t feel like you have to rush out and buy a costume!
Ā£1 Book Vouchers will be given to children on the day which can be spent in most supermarkets and book shops, but we do also have a Book Fayre coming into school the following week, and children can put their voucher towards the cost of a book at that event – more details to follow soon.
As part of our Spring Term expedition, The Blue Planet: How will what I do today impact tomorrow?ā, we would like to take the opportunity to take our KS1 children to complete fieldwork at The Deep in Hull.
To keep costs as low as possible the trip will be split across two days, 13th and 14th March.
1C, 2L and a group from 12K will visit on the 13th March 2024.
1M, 2P and a group from 12K will visit on the 14th March 2024.
Payment and consent details are available on Parentpay. The cost of the trip is Ā£22.00.
Unfortunately, if we donāt receive enough money the trip will be unable to go ahead.
If you have any questions, please speak to a member of the team.
Thank you to all the children and grown ups who donated some bird feeders, bird houses and wildlife food. We can’t wait to add these to our Eco-Garden, as part of our final product!
Any more donations towards our eco garden would be kindly appreciated by our animals!
As part of the expedition, we will be learning how bees and insects play an important role in helping our planet survive.
We want to invite the children to attend the KS1 Movie Night. We will be watching The Bee Movie.
The event is free to attend. However, we would appreciate any donations to help our birds survive in our eco-garden. This could be some bird feed, feeders, fat balls or a homemade bird feeder.
Please could you complete the form attached to book a place.
Yesterday, the children began to develop the mini eco garden by planting a fruit orchard.
To help the trees have time to grow, please could we ask that people do not walk on the grass areas and stick to the paths when dropping off and collecting from school.
Thank you in advance for your help in protecting our orchard.
As part of our Spring Term expedition, The Blue Planet: How will what I do today impact tomorrow?ā, we would like to take the opportunity to take our KS1 children to complete fieldwork at The Deep in Hull. The visit will be a full day where the children can see the spectacular aquariums with over 3500 fish and other marine life.
We will also be participating in a Save Our Seas workshop, which will help us answer our guiding question – How will what I do today impact tomorrow?
To keep costs as low as possible the trip will be split across two days, 13th and 14th March.
