This morning, this lovely lot smashed percentages and I could not be prouder! They applied their skill set this afternoon in their weekly arithmetic test and they all got full marks in the percentage questions!
Please can all Year 6 children complete the above pages for this week’s home learning. This must be returned by Monday and all returned home learning will receive a ticket for our revision raffle!
Our parents have been working hard the at last SATs revision session. Our focus was multiplying fractions! This week we are moving onto dividing fractions. We hope to see you all there! The extended study which you can complete at home is the ‘fractions’ section in your maths revision books.
These superstars impressed their fellow crews last week and were awarded the Pride of Plover in our community crew meeting. They have all been ‘working hard, getting smart and being kind’. So proud of you all 💙
We have received even more Easter treats to raffle off at the end of this term. Raffle tickets are £1 a strip with all proceeds going towards Year 6 leavers hoodies.
A HUGE shout out to everyone who has donated so far!

We are challenging Year 6 to use the above suggested revision timetable at home. This supports them in the run up to SATs as we only have 9 school weeks left before them! Each week, children will be set two pages of work both in their maths and their english revision booklets. This work needs to be brought into school each week. If children engage in the revision each week, they can exchange their homework on the final week of this term for an Easter egg.
Please remember all children who engage in home learning and the booster sessions will have their names put into the draw to win a Jelly Cat and an American sweet hamper!
We are so proud of you all and how hard you are working!
Crew Topliss have enjoyed learning about the Danum Read Aloud competition this morning. They have begun to look at the story openings ahead of our auditions next week. The winner from our crew will join a final in the hall on World Book Day, and the winner will get a place in the grand final at DGLAM! #LovePlover
We are looking forward to celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 7th March.
It would be lovely to see the children dressed up as their favourite book character, but please don’t feel like you have to rush out and buy a costume!
£1 Book Vouchers will be given to children on the day which can be spent in most supermarkets and book shops, but we do also have a Book Fayre coming into school the following week, and children can put their voucher towards the cost of a book at that event – more details to follow soon.
