Just a reminder of our UKS2 family learning event. We hope to see you there! We will be collaborating to design and sew a range of rainforest cuddly toys to donate to our local children’s hospice for Christmas. It would mean so much to see as many parents as possible join our event. We will also be holding a ‘guess the teddy’s name’ event to raise funds for our leavers hoodies.

This week we started case study two and turned into scientist. We have been looking closely at the reproduction of plants and carried out experiments. We dissected a Lily and labelled the different parts of the flower and learnt their purpose. We also looked into the reproduction of an asexual plant and we are waiting to see if our cuttings will reproduce. For our final experiment, we looked at the pollination process and how bees are helpful in the reproduction cycle.

We have dissected lilies this morning to gain a better understanding of each part of the plant and discovering the male and female parts of a plant.
