5S are preparing for writing their own setting descriptions by analysing and critiquing a piece of similar text.
I was impressed to see them working collaboratively to identify the features then discuss their reasoning with the class.
I can’t wait to see you applying all of these in your own work!
As part of parliament week, crews around school engaged in learning about parliament and its processes in our country. This helps us to understand the British values of democracy and law.
Crew Schofield enjoyed engaging in their own parliamentary style debates on issues affecting our school, learning how they link to the manner in which bigger decisions are made for our country. They also enjoyed learning about the process of a general election and how that determines our representation in parliament.
In our photos, members of our ‘house’ were voting on a bill that proposed the banning of football at lunchtimes!
Well done to our lovely Pride of Plover winners this week! Keep working hard, being kind and getting smart!

Year 5 & 6 had an amazing night at stargazing this evening. They searched for stars and constellations and even had the privilege of working with two space experts who brought in their telescopes! Thank you to Mr Clarke and Adi! A shout out to Rio’s pizzas for our lovely pizza and chips for tea!

Year 5&6 children were so lucky this morning to have a zoom call with Jacqueline Wilson- a very famous author! She shared her journey into writing and discussed her new book! We can’t wait to purchase it and read it in our reading for pleasure time!
